A rather lavish, festive event was held Saturday May 12, 2007 on the banks of the American River, Coloma, California. It was a private, close family wedding. The reception that followed consisted of snacks and beverages prior to the caterer smoking up the resort with the smell of a roasted pig. Dinner was served followed by a nice campfire with live local music from none other than Brett, Matt, and a guy on the fiddle....cheers....It was reported that a number of people rafted and paddled down the river on Sunday...Five of the rather active, very dedicated, highly admired members of the Mayhew Social Club attended the event and stayed in a cabin provided by the bride and groom. Those that could not attend need to explain to Brett and Amanda just why you could not make this event...cheers....Some of us left Early and missed the trip down the River sorry(Bob-Richard-Yo & Mike) Ardie witnessed the Grand event down the river although he caught no fish. Great wedding thanks to Brett and Amanda for the invite. Congratulations to the Brakebill who is now a Wiskur and the Wiskur who is still a wisker.
